At YuGo, we love seeing our personal training clients discover new ways to move – and few sessions pack more punch than boxing with coach Gemma at Kingsway Sports Pavilion in Gloucester.
Ty and Sid have been training with Gemma as part of their YuGo personal training sessions for over a year now – and their progress has been fantastic! Together with Gemma, they’ve built strength, fitness, and confidence – all while having a brilliant time.
Ty hadn’t tried boxing before joining Yugo, and like many people starting something new, he was a bit anxious at first.
“He was a bit nervous about starting something new, but he’s really enjoyed it. Gemma’s been brilliant and very patient, always encouraging him to keep going and improve his fitness and skills.”

And now?
“He’s just been calling himself Tyson Fury today! Being here in Quedgeley works really well for us. There’s not a lot of activities around for teenagers with additional needs, so it’s perfect.”

Each session is designed around balance, core and strength exercises, helping to improve posture, mobility and overall fitness. But more than that – it’s about fun, focus and feeling good.
“Sid loves the boxing sessions because he’s really interested in the technique and how to box properly.
Gemma’s so patient and great with him – he feels at ease here. It’s definitely improved his confidence and fitness.”
